What’s The Difference?
Tonight at Columbia Metro we will be continuing in our message series “What’s the Difference?”. We are looking at various world religions and how they compare to the truth of Christianity. It is amazing to me the lies that so many believe. I have been reading through Galatians as I have been preparing for this series. I love Paul’s response to the lies that the Galatian church was buying into. He says in Galatians 2:20-21 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through law, Christ died for nothing!”
I hope to see you tonight at Columbia Metro. 7:00 pm in the Family Life Center @ First Baptist Church Columbia.
Rethink!
I was listening to Andy Stanley’s new leadership podcast last week and a quote he shared and talked about has really challenged my thinking.
” if somebody walked into your organization with fresh eyes, and no emotional attachment… what would they do differently? once you know the answer to that question, you need to ask yourself… why don’t i just walk out the door… come back in… and do it myself?”

As a leader in ministry or in any organization this thought can revolutionize your thinking. It is easy to slide into what works, what makes people happy, what maintains. Instead of constantly thinking what needs to improve, what needs to be better, what needs direction. We often allow our emotional attachments and the fear of other’s response to dictate how we lead an organization. I have this quote ingrained in my mind and I hope that I will constantly check myself through this thought!
